Croí á Mhúscailt

Uair nó dhó le linn and dráma, rinne mé dearmad gur puipéid a bhí iontu agus nach fíordhaoine.

— Gaelscéal

Grandad is not in his chair anymore. Granny packs away the memories of their life in suitcases. The girl unpacks them and breathes new life into them.

Croí á Mhúscailt tells the story of a little girl who has recently lost her grandfather and explores the relationship between the girl and her grandmother, and their contrasting experiences of grief. Set in the living room of the grandparents' house, the focus is on an empty armchair, and the suitcases into which Mamó is packing away her memories.

In this magical story, we explore the relationship between young and old. Exquisitely told with puppetry, music and a wonderful chair. Branar, once again, take us on a beautiful heart-warming journey into the world of a girl and her Granny.

In March 2013 Croí á mhúscailt toured Denmark to be presented at Teatre Refleksion's Venue in Aarhus. The show then returned home to Ireland and embarked on a national tour to 12 venues nationwide.
