It’s the story of a boy who discovers a single-propeller airplane in his closet and does what any young adventurer would do – he flies into outer space! Millions of miles from earth, the plane begins to sputter and quake. The boy must make a daring landing on the moon. But as it turns out, he is not alone up there…
This is wonderful story explores the boundless imagination of children. Through puppet animation and wonderful music we tell the story of one boy’s adventure into outer space and the quest he must undertake to help his new friend.
The author of The Way Back Home, Oliver Jeffers, in an interview with The New York Times, praised the stage show’s “inner beauty”, while Branar’s Artistic Director Marc Mac Lochlainn is unsurprisingly proud of what Branar and Teatre Refleksion have achieved.
“We breathed life into the wonderful characters that were so expertly created by Oliver Jeffers. It was privilege and we’re delighted that so many children around the world have now seen the fruits of our adventure.”
