In Branar, we are committed to offering high quality theatre experiences within the school setting in addition to our venue productions. Each year, we tour one of our current productions to schools, transforming their school hall into another world and ensuring that schools in a wide range of areas and students of varied ages have access to our work. We provide school staff with educational resources packs, specifically designed to correspond with the national primary cirriculum, as both a pre- and post- school visit activity.
We also offer deeper engagment and extension activities in schools throughout the school year, including creative drama, puppetry and puppet making workshops. For more information, please contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org
In 2017/2018, we toured two productions to schools around Galway; Na Síoga agus an Gréasaí and Woolly’s Quest. Na Síoga was created specifically for students in the junior cycle while Woolly’s Quest
was enjoyed by the entire school.
In total, over these two productions, we visited 37 schools in Galway city and county, amounting to over 4200 students accessing our work within their school halls across 2017/2018.
This is part of our steadfast commitment to inspire and create opportunities for children to explore their own arts practice in school settings.
